Jill Altringer is a passionate and dedicated candidate for Polk County Supervisor. With her extensive background in business and law, Jill is committed to making a positive impact on her community. Jill is uniquely qualified to serve as Polk County Supervisor, bringing her combination of professional and elected experience. She received both her undergraduate (biology/chemistry) and law degree from the University of Iowa. She is passionate about helping to make Polk County a better place to live and work.
"As a resident of Polk County for over 22 years, I understand the importance of strong leadership. I have a proven track record of bringing people together to achieve results, having served the City of Grimes as an elected official. While on the Council, I served on regional boards such as the Metro Advisory Committee, DART, BRAVO, and Metropolitan Planning Organization, as well as numerous city and local boards. I was appointed to the Polk County Conservation Board in 2017 and currently serve as the Chair.
I am passionate about Polk County and its people. I will bring to the table my experience, my drive for results, and my commitment to collaboration and transparency. Together, we can build a Polk County that works for everyone."
